Short Bio

Prof. Fabrizio Riguzzi is a Full Professor of Computer Science at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Ferrara since December 1, 2020. Prior to this role, he was Associate Professor from 2014 to 2020 and Assistant Professor beginning in 1999 at the University of Ferrara. He earned both his Ph.D. in Electronic and Computer Engineering (1999) and his Laurea in Computer Engineering (1995) from the University of Bologna. Prof. Riguzzi is currently the Coordinator of the BSc in Computer Science and of the MSc in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Big Data. He serves as Editor-in-Chief of Intelligenza Artificiale, the journal of the Italian Association for Artificial Intelligence, and is an active member of AI*IA, GULP, and the Association for Logic Programming. Prof. Riguzzi has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers, with research interests spanning Machine Learning, Inductive Logic Programming, and Statistical Relational Learning. His work aims to advance intelligent systems by innovatively integrating techniques from artificial intelligence, logic, and statistics.
