Courses and training

• "Servizi e Innovazione per Industria 4.0" (SII40), a specialization course aimed to develop specialized advanced digital skills for the Industry 4.0 field financed by Emilia Romagna region. The course included lectures conducted by both university partners and international experts. Periodic workshops were held throughout the course, culminating in a final project with evaluation. The course was directed by Professors Mauro Tortonesi and Filippo Poltronieri of the Big Data & Compute Continuum Lab of the Distributed Systems research group, University of Ferrara.

  • Final project: "Parallelized Training of a Machine Learning Model: A Proof of Concept using the Ray Ecosystem on Kubernetes": group project on distributed training of a convolutional neural network on a Ray Cluster deployed on Kubernetes. The project was tutored by Alessandro Gilli and Mattia Zaccarini of the Big Data & Compute Continuum Lab of the Distributed Systems research group, University of Ferrara.
